Daily In-The-Moment Posts

A Ducktales Update

A little update: They really need to let students know which classes will have out-of-class projects and meetings. A lot of us base our work and other studies around our specific class scheduling we initially signed on for. I don’t even have the time on the weekends to play catch up in sleep. My workout immediately fell back down with these specific classes. I’m slowly figuring out how to make it work, but it had me stressed out right from the start. I’d have to dedicate entire weekends to 1 of 4 subjects. Each subject can fill the entire thing. I am taking Spanish to learn it. I’m not taking it to barely pass the course. I will to become fluent in Espanol someday.

Second Lil update: I have started crunching my media presence pretty hard recently. I even brought back my absent Twitter handle “Alex_Co254”. I still have a lot of improving in Snapchat and IG, but my Twitter has greatly improved. I am very happy with how much better it is now than it used to be.

I still have my blog posts list of ideas and projects. There is also my prompt box. I have no excuses to slack on WordPress. I am sorry for not communicating and sharing. I allowed myself to become overwhelmed with the mass of things I am a part of, and that I pay attention to.

Thank you for taking the time out of your irreplaceable day to read my posts.

A few of the project ideas I have are great. I just need to put them out there.

Crunch blogging- short post

End of the year with family and the starting of classes pulled me into other priorities for the last 3-4 weeks. I apologize for not making enough time for this blog. I have returned. I do not know how often I will be able to post, but it will hopefully be at least every week. I will not be able to post DURING the week with classes and work. I was getting two hours of sleep each night this week. I will be trying to put out, at least, a total of 3 posts before the weekend is over. I will be putting out multiple posts at a time even though it means people might miss some posts even easier with the posts running over each other. I’m not worried, though. Putting content out is something I need to put my work into. GOOD CONTENT. I need to focus on both the quality increase and the frequency increase.

No time for posting blogs? Like stated above, I’ll be putting multiple posts out on the weekends. If there is ever a weekend I cannot, then I’ll make sure to find a way to fit it in one way or another.

I am here to improve myself through words and expression of my own. I am not here to give up. I am here to better myself in my grind and hustle mentality. My work ethic was always shot growing up. I was a very smart kid. I wasn’t smart enough to put myself into actually doing the work, unfortunately.

If time is at its absolutely most hectic, then I’ll even type a post out on my phone wherever I’m at. Be that in the school library, at the park, at the gym, or anywhere there is wifi. Wifi right now is a must-have because I JUST hit my Set data limit.

Back Home For Christmas

I hope every single one of y’all are having an absolutely blessed Christmas time with your families. I am currently on the way back home after having visited the grandparents for half the day. I would rather have stayed, but work at 2:00 AM. You know the drill.

We are still on the road, and my eyes can barely stay open right now. I’ve been up for 17 hours after 3 hours of sleep. So, I’ll just keep this short.

Have a very merry and blessed Christmas! Be merry with friends, and loving with the family members.

Big reminder as some people can be forgetful with all the outside pressures; Christmas is about Christ being sacrificed to save us from sin. All the presents. Santa, elves on the shelf are not important, and these can serve as distractions to the main picture of what the season is really all about. Take time and sit in quiet to help get your mind right if that’s what you need to get back on track if you are slipping. I know I sure have been struggling. I am very recently taking big strides into improving myself this last half week. Never going to stop either.

Merry Christmas! Love you all!

16: Digging is exercise too

“Holes” reference đŸ™‚

Since I only have studying going on for these few days I thought that I would try out another poetry generator. Got one that actually makes sense about me. Surprisingly.

Speedy: Dig My Shaping

What shall I do about it
With an exercise in mass poetry.
and above all he will get spit at
when by shapes my words are known, I try

I’ve realized I will have another two final chapters to finish the book tomorrow. Then I will be focusing on using a study guide I came across a few months back. I have not decided yet whether I will split it into 7 chapters, 7 chapters, and 6 chapters each day to review before the day of the exam. Or, if I want to go 10 chapters both of the first two days, and to have a rough review over the entire thing the day before the exam.

Today I hopped on the piano for the first time in many years. Basically, since childhood. There is so much of the technical stuff that I do not recognize and remember at all. I am still interested in eventually becoming good enough to play on the holidays for my family. I would enjoy playing for them.

The bear pictured below is just like the exam that I have to conquer in a few days. I must prepare myself to take it down before it does so to me. Preparedness is key. If I am not prepared it will maul me in a way of words. I wish to pass beyond the bear. I wish to pass beyond the test. My life is “beyond” this singular point of a bear test. I am a hunter in this story. I will be victorious. I will be smart. I will succeed. I. Will. Pass.

Mr. Bear = Mr. Exam

Mr. Bear = Mr. Exam

I forgot about a brief note I took early on until just now. So here is an addition for an EDIT:

Only slept 3 hours from 10pm to 1am. This includes the time I woke up halfway through. Still tired, but somehow more alert. I must’ve gotten some of that dark deep sleep even with the light on right above where I lay. I ate a nicely sized meal. So, time to hit the book. Got to get ready for the exam. Especially considering the code I received to rake it free of charge didn’t set my given account up correctly with the ability to take the free practice exam everyone else is receiving. As long as I pass it’ll be fine. Good thing I’m going to be making sure of that. I at least have this thick review topic packet telling me an idea of what I should be studying. I can use it to do a more focused study after I finish going all the way through the textbook. I’m sure some people would recommend me to just use the review packet to only study specifics in the book. I prefer the idea of finishing with my half-the-book highlighting style that I’ve got going for me right now already. It will possibly make it a little easier when I have to study according to topic searches next.

I tried my first wasabi pea from a bowl at the house today. I could easily see myself eating these every day. The way of the crunch alone is enough to addict me. The lone reason I’d get addicted to consuming them. They seem pretty bland. The texture was superb though.

15: The Climb

I didn’t have much material I could use from a lack of variety throughout the day this time. So, I found a fun poem generator to try out. I like it.

Speedy: The Climb

Stealthily home
Pursue expensive to heat rainy winter
Light frisks
My primary passion is cold rain

Somebody passionate
Meaningful you.

Today is the day that the Lord has made. It is also a day of one of the only years in the last many where I got a Christmas wish list thrown together to help act as guidance for those interested.

Today, and a few of the immediately following days are filled with exam studying for the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I truly regret the seemingly small distractions I allowed along the way. They don’t seem so small anymore. They turned out to be huge time consumers. Cram session is not just a phrase. It is going to be my life for the next couple days. About 4 days more days of study time left. This is not going to be easy one little bit.

Oh! I got the laundry done too. đŸ™‚ I got the laundry completed just in time for my friend and I to go do our planned sprints, but the rains canceled the current plans that we had for this Saturday afternoon. It was going to be such a tough and fun time too. đŸ˜¦

14: Mi Casa No Es Tu Casa

My house is not your house. Home is where the heart is. Follow your own heart. Don’t follow mine or another’s.

Is your heart in a dream or goal? Is your heart with your family? Is your heart traveling all over the world? Wherever your heart goes your passion will follow. Home does not have to be a single set place. Have you ever heard of a person moving, and loving that place more than the prior? I have. Find where your heart is leading you, and tag along. You will find yourself waking up excited to get the day started. Something which a lot of us, definitely including myself, have trouble with. Even if you have physical trouble waking you will definitely find a way if you want it bad enough. Being in the place of home that you have the higher passion for will make it the easiest it could possibly be. There is no doubt that you will find a greater enjoyment in life just by doing what you love. Home is love. Home is where your love resides. Love your home.

I got a little busy, and I fell off from the daily posts for “Countdown to 2016.” So, here is a short list of some of the things that might have popped off during that missing time period of posts.

Have any of y’all seen the show “Fixer Upper“? If you have then you might be aware of a newly opened store by the married pair “Magnolia Market.” Yesterday I placed an application to their store. The two silos beside it were humongous. The setting for the store was absolutely lovely. I will put an additional picture in the post to show what part of the place looked like.

I have still been going back and forth with seeing two different advisors at the community college here the last few days. The last one I spoke with was arrogant, rude, bossy, and acted like a know-it-all. She tried to tell me some of the papers I received from the University of Houston college advisors were wrong about their degree plans and drew a big X on the paper while trying to grab it from me saying she was going to throw it away. I made sure I found out her name before I left from looking at her business cards. I will definitely be seeing any other advisor besides her from now. Things are just becoming more and more confusing as the talks go along with the advisors. I might just do like I did in the past. Sign up myself, and if need be just go straight to the top of the departments to get proper assistance in ensuring everything goes well enough.

I saw an idea of a prompt box somewhere so I made my own. It is still pretty empty looking even though there are at least 25-35 plus ideas written in there. I probably won’t be using it until next year. I already have a lot of ideas and assignments from groups that will cover into the beginning of next year at least.

Countdown to 2016: Day 13

I woke up freezing in a cold sweat. A nasty reaction from having worn a cold and soaked shirt during my drive back to the house from the AWESOME training camp. Luckily, it was the final night in those sheets so I only need to wash them once more. I didn’t think packing would take so long!

So many boxes. So many bags. So much time spent packing for the move back.

The drive was quite long. At least it seems so for me. Only three hours on the drive. It might not be a twelve hour drive like some of you do, but it is still a lot for myself. I only had an apple to eat and a coffee before I left. I had four mentos and a bag of sliced carrots. It is a drastic improvement from the usual two monsters, two protein bars, and a Deli-Style Mustard Pretzel bag. What was the music of choice for this drive? Don Omar and Smooth Jazz

Since I didn’t eat anything before I made it home, in an effort to consume as many calories as possible I made a bad choice in eating some Bush’s Chicken. I’m sure it covered at least a thousand calories. I still need a little more before I go to sleep though. I feel bad for making the poor choice of food. No excuses allowed in slacking off in my coming up workouts I guess.

By the end of today I’m finally feeling a little sore from the training camp. Feels so good.
