Liking What I’ve Learned And Wishing For More

Writing 101 Day 2: Write a list

I like what I love. I like what I used to despise. I’ll like new things in the future.

I’ve learned what I’ve been taught. I’ve learned what I didn’t know. I’ve learned from mistakes.

I wish upon a star. I wish from afar. I wish for more. I wish for better. I wish for worse. I wish to learn.

Since short on time, and to keep this from becoming a long-worded read let’s get started.

Things I like

  1. Noticing my own physique gains
  2. Swimming
  3. Laying on cool sheets or a cool leather couch
  4. Completing a big project or task
  5. Playing with both my Canadian cousin and my littlest cousin (his little brother)
  6. Working out
  7. The color blue
  8. Cooking something delicious
  9. Laying on the ground in the outdoors

Things I’ve Learned

  1. Never give up
  2. Follow your passion no matter what others may believe
  3. God is always there for you
  4. Dogs have incredible memories
  5. Ego lifting is bad training
  6. Get your work done before you go out and play
  7. Priorities first
  8. I need to improve my walk. I have the talk down already.
  9. I’m not as “u-g-l-y” as I originally believed

Things I Wish

  1. I wish I was already successful
  2. I wish I could breathe underwater
  3. I wish I hadn’t screwed around in my first few years of college
  4. I wish I knew where I would be in five years
  5. I wish there were multiples of me so I could do everything I wanted. Everything.
  6. I wish I was going to live forever so I could learn everything that interests me.
  7. I wish they would call me about the job already.
  8. I wish I didn’t wait to workout until I was twenty two years old.
  9. I wish my sister and I had more between us than the family cat we had for 14 years.

Favorite Foods

  1. Spaghetti
  2. Breakfast Tacos

The joy that comes around the Christmas season is a HUGE like for me.

Christmas time is the best time!

Countdown to 2016: Day 9

Woke up to two frolicking blue jays playing on the crepe myrtle outside the kitchen window. Today was such a lovely and warm day. Clear and open skies. Not too many days are this nice throughout the year. I wish I took full advantage of it.

The pretty blue jays sure took the sting out of the realization that I fell off from my workout consistency pretty hard since I did not realize that I was going to be in this city for two weeks. A five pound weight gain was discovered today. I need to find a new gym at this location. I need to hurry, and cancel my membership at the 24 Hour Fitness in Houston.

I have not received any update on the possible Gold’s Gym hire yet. I will be getting a hold of them tomorrow morning. My second interview went really well. So, I wonder if they found someone who better filled the position. Even if that turns out to be the case I have no choice but to work towards improving towards being the best. “We da best!”

– Advisor Chill Time Again –

I found a pretty helpful advisor finally on my visit today. Got my Spring classes approved, and not got to go back tomorrow. Apparently, there are no Biology for non-science major classes available in the Spring next year. Seems like it shouldn’t be true so I’m going to be looking into it with the advisor once again. Tomorrow will be the first time that I actually sign for a specific advisor. She was very helpful for me. Friendly too. Also, I cannot find the darn “Submit” button or option that I’m supposed to do to finish the class selection for the coming semester. That is just one other thing we will be going over.

The middle of the week always seems to give me an interesting feeling as opposed to the more common “T. G. I. F.” or “Ugh! It’s Monday again.” mentalities I always see. Fridays and Mondays are just more days to me. The middle days of the calendar week seem to carry less stress for me though. I usually have everything better planned and figured out by those days. There is also the lack of cultural expectancy as compared to Friday for instance. Friday brings with it the expectancy of relaxation with family activities or community party involvement from a majority of people. When you decline invitations to involvements with others saying you’ve got to study or work on something else people seem to have trouble understanding why you would choose “work” over “fun.”

If your work is fun then you will have a good life. Love what you do. Breathe your passion.

Don't you just love Thursday?

Don’t you just love Thursday? “Yeah!”

Countdown to 2016: Day 3

T. G. I. F. Thank God It’s Friday!

This weekend is getting off to a gorgeous start. Beside the heavy rain ending in flooding I am loving this day already. TBH I am enjoying watching the rain too. Rain enhances the colors God placed for us to find. Everything looks richer when wet. The interview today was the smoothest feeling one I have ever gone through. The community at the place was friendly, and so was the staff. Nice impression Gold’s!

If only we were told about accepted hiring in the same way as pictured below. It would be a fantastic feeling.

Had to take a short break from this quick blog to let in some more people to the house for an even better day.  Two long-distance relatives just made it into town, and it is a brighter place with them here. It was bright to begin with, but it can always be brighter. I’m sure it is possible to have a bright enough atmosphere where blinding is possible.

Three weeks until my NASM exam! I Will Be Ready for it.

Always have an air of expectancy. If you truly expect something to happen you will find yourself, even if subconsciously, working towards it.

Learn to appreciate your blessings. Sit down with a pen and pad for 5 minutes and scratch down what you are thankful for. Yes, I realize it isn’t Thanksgiving, but it is always good to be grateful. If there is something that you want to change about yourself just know that you will need to change the way you think. The mind is a powerful thing.

Countdown to 2016: Day 2

It is ALMOST official! Placed application at the nearby community today with a following visit to a school advisor. I will be seeing them again next week with a deeper delve into transferables and overall personal planning. I’m very excited!

Kinesiology in Athletic Training and Exercise Science in Health Professions are current idea plans.  I’m looking more at what the Plans include in the education more so than just the title of degrees. I don’t care as much about having a degree as actually learning what will help me in my life’s pursuits of being awesome!

A second interview is lined up with Gold’s Gym tomorrow. Wish me luck 🙂

I received a package in the mail yesterday with some epic stuff. It included a handled resistance band and an SAQ book. I don’t know when I will actually get to read it seeing how I have a stack of professional books to read through on top of the textbooks I’ll be adding from starting standard college classes back up.

Lots of work, but hopefully lots of fun with it too. I’ll make sure I enjoy it.
