I am sorry for the complete lack of posts and reach in here. This is an update while I wait for my class to begin. So, this will be pretty brief 🙂
Twitter & Other Handles: I updated all of my handles from Facebook to others such as LinkedIn to the name @iamspeedyalex. Snapchat does not allow username changes at the moment. So, @iamspeedyalex shows as my display name after I’ve been added.
#SquatEveryDay: I started with an idea to squat every day for 60 days from seeing an interesting set of videos on YouTube where Mike Rashid was doing it from back in 2015. Essays and exams took literally all of my time immediately after Day 1 last week. Today I will be getting in Day 3 of the restarted challenge. I have had a crippling headache since the first Day 1 of the original attempt at the challenge. Today, two of my friends did their Day 1. Isn’t that exciting? More people hopping on the Squat Train!
I’ve made a plan to read a new book every 3 weeks. This will keep me moving quickly into my textual learning and towards a healthier consistency in my knowledge increase. I’m grinding through #365IDEAS by John Sparks right now. The plan is for me to begin a new book, the #AskGaryVee on Saturday.
Dietary Status: I fell off pretty hard from lack of funding for easy follow through on how I used to grocery shop. I didn’t put forth the effort to improve in smarter shopping. I stopped cooking every day, and I stopped paying attention completely to my caloric count. My weight didn’t spike, but with my recent extreme lack of sleep I really could benefit even more from proper dietary nutrition. Even in the least of consuming enough calories to supply my body with at least enough energy to make it through the day. I am back at working towards paying strict attention. Just starting overall caloric counting. I will be paying more attention to the detailing of where and how much comes from what.
I had a few meeting with some social media and branding specialists. Currently working on some business homework and organizing. Taxes, legalities, socials, and relationship building. I am currently refreshing my knowledge in training planning ideas and strategies.
Eventually the posts will be switched to a more business standpoint under the name of @iamspeedyalex @iamspeedyalex is what I’m branding as myself. Having a common name isn’t always a good thing 😉
A little update: They really need to let students know which classes will have out-of-class projects and meetings. A lot of us base our work and other studies around our specific class scheduling we initially signed on for. I don’t even have the time on the weekends to play catch up in sleep. My workout immediately fell back down with these specific classes. I’m slowly figuring out how to make it work, but it had me stressed out right from the start. I’d have to dedicate entire weekends to 1 of 4 subjects. Each subject can fill the entire thing. I am taking Spanish to learn it. I’m not taking it to barely pass the course. I will to become fluent in Espanol someday.
Second Lil update: I have started crunching my media presence pretty hard recently. I even brought back my absent Twitter handle “Alex_Co254”. I still have a lot of improving in Snapchat and IG, but my Twitter has greatly improved. I am very happy with how much better it is now than it used to be.
I still have my blog posts list of ideas and projects. There is also my prompt box. I have no excuses to slack on WordPress. I am sorry for not communicating and sharing. I allowed myself to become overwhelmed with the mass of things I am a part of, and that I pay attention to.
Thank you for taking the time out of your irreplaceable day to read my posts.
A few of the project ideas I have are great. I just need to put them out there.
I would like to start out by apologizing for the lack of posts as of late. Things had gotten pretty busy here with Christmas and family arrivals. Hard to type with little cousins running around the house throwing hard plastic and metal toys every second.
Here is how everything seems to have looked with WordPress for me starting out this year. Much room for progress. I look forward to posting more blogs, and connecting with you all.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 220 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 4 trips to carry that many people.
I’m not at my laptop blogging? Well then. I must be somewhere studying, procrastinating, eating, or working out. I’m pretty simple at the moment in my view.
The lack of my cardiovascular strength is pretty sad. It is a lot further behind that I originally believed. Time to focus on building up the strength of my heart and lungs. Since it is so sad I finally got myself to go for a jog through a neighborhood I used to traverse many times through my childhood. It was more of a jog walk jog type of journey this time. After just the initial jog burst I was breathing pretty hard. I found something I can work on. 🙂 The warmth flowing through my body from the blood being pumped from my left ventricle to my entire body to keep it moving felt amazing with the cool breeze. The endorphins were making me feel absolutely fantastic. I was getting an outdoor and workout high. It sure works great for those good feels if you’re not having the best of days.
The chirping of the birds, in between the bursts of jogs, heard from pulling my earbuds out to breathe better was very melodic. I could feel them in my soul. They were very peaceful.
Near the end of the “Journey of the Jog” was heard with the tings of metallic tools ringing in the air from a house remodeling project.
Sad thing was that there were no friendly gestures or smiles from others today which was very disappointing. That is not a good representation of how we, as Texans, are supposed to behave. We are friendly and outspoken to others as long as you aren’t a possible threat to our fellows.

TGIF!Right? Isn’t that how it goes? I usually see Fridays as being a lot closer to having another week start than as one week ending. Not a party time for me. This weekend for me will be a moving weekend. I’m a little anxious over here. Out of excitement of course.
Rain, rain, and more rain. Every day to every other day. As soon as the streets drain of excess water Mother Nature floods them again. Waterworld here we come! Would you rather have a Jurassic World or a WaterWorld? Both have huge creatures within them. One has a more stable ground setting for communities, while the other has everything on top of moving water. Jurassic World came to mind from the fact that I am watching it as I type this. Fantastic movie.
There are all these different worlds that people throughout the ages have imagined and even discovered. Is there any world you’ve wished you could’ve been a part of? I’m not sure spur of the moment what I’d love to live in. We have worlds going all the way from the pirate filled Peter Pan to the gorgeous world in Avatar.
I got to visit the good ol’ Tarje today, Friday. I was able to say hi to some former coworkers. They sure were surprised to see me a little. One of them even tried to get me to do some work for “old times sake.” While I was there I bought myself an older Don Omar compact disc. Too bad my speakers are blown in the car. Would be a sweet time jamming it. I also bought the book “American Sniper” in Spanish. I’ll be using it for practice and learning during my not-so-short Spanish language excursion.
On the way to the house I decided to swing by the grandparents house. My youngest cousin was there. During the entire visit he refused to release hold of my fingers. He is maybe between 3-5 right now. He kept dragging me to all of the windows trying to show me all of the rain. He was very ecstatic in seeing me there. That is when I realized that all the other times that he saw me was in giant crowds of people. It was never on such a personal level. It was a warm experience for me too.
Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life. No matter what.
Woke up to two frolicking blue jays playing on the crepe myrtle outside the kitchen window. Today was such a lovely and warm day. Clear and open skies. Not too many days are this nice throughout the year. I wish I took full advantage of it.
The pretty blue jays sure took the sting out of the realization that I fell off from my workout consistency pretty hard since I did not realize that I was going to be in this city for two weeks. A five pound weight gain was discovered today. I need to find a new gym at this location. I need to hurry, and cancel my membership at the 24 Hour Fitness in Houston.
I have not received any update on the possible Gold’s Gym hire yet. I will be getting a hold of them tomorrow morning. My second interview went really well. So, I wonder if they found someone who better filled the position. Even if that turns out to be the case I have no choice but to work towards improving towards being the best. “We da best!”
– Advisor Chill Time Again –
I found a prettyhelpfuladvisor finally on my visit today. Got my Spring classes approved, and not got to go back tomorrow. Apparently, there are no Biology for non-science major classes available in the Spring next year. Seems like it shouldn’t be true so I’m going to be looking into it with the advisor once again. Tomorrow will be the first time that I actually sign for a specific advisor. She was very helpful for me. Friendly too. Also, I cannot find the darn “Submit” button or option that I’m supposed to do to finish the class selection for the coming semester. That is just one other thing we will be going over.
– T W T –
The middle of the week always seems to give me an interesting feeling as opposed to the more common “T. G. I. F.” or “Ugh! It’s Monday again.” mentalities I always see. Fridays and Mondays are just more days to me. The middle days of the calendar week seem to carry less stress for me though. I usually have everything better planned and figured out by those days. There is also the lack of cultural expectancy as compared to Friday for instance. Friday brings with it the expectancy of relaxation with family activities or community party involvement from a majority of people. When you decline invitations to involvements with others saying you’ve got to study or work on something else people seem to have trouble understanding why you would choose “work” over “fun.”
If your work is fun then you will have a good life. Love what you do. Breathe your passion.
